Local schools of social entrepreneurship "Oreliurpak" at the forum "InnoSib-2024"

From October 17 to 19, 2024, representatives of the School of Social Entrepreneurship "Oreli urpak" of Astana International University took part in the XIII International Forum of Social Entrepreneurs and Investors "INNOSIB-2024" in Omsk (Russian Federation).


The INNOSIB Forum has become an important platform for discussion and interaction between representatives of social entrepreneurship, non-profit organizations, leaders of civil initiatives, as well as representatives of the expert community, government and business. This year, the forum brought together more than 300 participants from different countries, providing an opportunity to share experiences and establish business ties.


Within the framework of the forum, the delegation of Astana International University participated in a series of master classes and dialogue platforms, where topical topics and trends in the field of social entrepreneurship were discussed. Representatives of the university also visited the Omsk Region business incubator, which allowed them to get to know more about regional initiatives to support social projects and startups.


One of the significant events of the forum was the signing of a memorandum of cooperation with the Omsk regional public organization "Center for Social Innovations". This agreement is aimed at developing partnership projects in the field of social entrepreneurship and strengthening interregional cooperation.


Participation in the forum was an important step in the development of the social entrepreneurship program "Oreli Urpak" and opened up new opportunities for the implementation of joint projects aimed at improving the social climate and supporting the initiatives of young entrepreneurs.


We thank the organizers of the INNOSIB 2024 forum for the opportunity to share experiences and establish new partnerships, which will undoubtedly help in the further development of social entrepreneurship and the introduction of innovative solutions in Kazakhstan and beyond.

Meeting of AIU students with the Financial Monitoring Agency: career and financial security

Among the participants were: Andrey V. Davydov, Head of the Prevention Department of the Department of Prevention and Analytical Developments of the AFM, Colonel of the Economic Investigation Service, Askat Kausov, Special Investigator for Particularly Important Cases in the Department for Personnel Potential Development, Department of Human Resources at the Agency for Financial Monitoring, Colonel of the Economic Investigation Service, Gani Sutbaev, Senior Investigator of the Department for Personnel Potential Development, Department of Human Resources at the Agency for Financial Monitoring, Senior Lieutenant of the Economic Investigation Service, Asel Kairzhankyzy, Chief Consultant in the Department for Personnel Potential Development, Department of Human Resources at the Agency for Financial Monitoring.

The speakers gave a lecture covering issues such as combating financial pyramids, and highlighted topics including gambling addiction, money laundering, terrorism financing, and illegal cryptocurrency exchange. Students expressed interest in employment opportunities with the Agency for Financial Monitoring.

The agency representatives noted their readiness to welcome graduates skilled in modern technologies.

Meetings like these are crucial in helping graduates make informed choices about their future careers.

The event was also attended by Deputy Dean of the Higher School of Law Seilkhanov Zhanat Duisenbaevich and 2nd, 3rd, 4th year students of the Higher School of Economics, HSE of Astana International University.

The Vice Minister awarded our student with a letter of thanks

On October 24, a ceremony was held to honor volunteers 🎉 who made significant contributions to organizing the Leaders’ Forum on Volunteer Movements of the member states of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA), held from October 3 to 4. These volunteers fulfilled crucial organizational tasks that greatly contributed to the event's success. 🏆

Vice Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Aizada Kurmanova, presented volunteers with letters of gratitude from the Ministry, while Deputy Secretary General of CICA, Zhang Lin, conveyed letters of appreciation on behalf of the CICA Secretariat. 📜 Each volunteer also received a certificate from the National Volunteer Network, officially recording their volunteer hours. 🎖️

One of our university's students, Darina Mayorova, who studies in the 6B01506 Mathematics program, played a particularly valuable role in this event. 🌟 Darina accompanied the delegation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, assisting with navigation, comfort, and organizational tasks throughout the forum. This experience not only allowed her to contribute to an important international event but also to represent her country on the global stage. 🌍 It further demonstrated how volunteer work can strengthen diplomacy and foster international relations.

Students visited the Military History Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan

On October 29, 2024, PhD, senior lecturer at the University Sadykov Zh.A. organized a field lesson at the State Military Historical Museum of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan for students of the 3rd year of the OP "Recreational Geography and Tourism" groups RGiT 22A, RGiT 22B in the discipline "Organization of activities of tourism industry enterprises". The Military History Museum is distinguished by its unique halls, which complement the structural and architectural appearance of the building with their expositions. In the museum, students saw: the hall of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the hall of periodic exhibitions, the hall of Antiquity XIX century, the hall of military history of the XX century, the hall of weapons of the XX-XXI century, the hall of fine arts, as well as the atrium "History of military affairs of Kazakhstan". The Military History Museum of the Armed Forces has collected about 6,000 exhibits, including rare and especially valuable historical and cultural monuments, ammunition of Kazakh soldiers from the Stone Age to the present day. Weapons and paintings, historical documents and photographs of events. The students touched the history in the literal sense, as there is a lot not only to see, but also to touch and listen to. All the objects that are in the museum building tell about the military history of the Republic of Kazakhstan, starting from ancient times and ending with the present. During the tour, the students got acquainted with the museum's exhibits, asked their questions and thanked the museum staff for a useful and interesting tour.
