On February 12, 2026, AIU hosted a creative meeting titled “Ән – халық қазынасы”
(“Song is the Treasure of the Nation”). The honored guest of the event was Yerbolat
Shaldybekov, Cultural Figure of the Republic of Kazakhstan, laureate of national
competitions, and Associate Professor of the Kazakh National University of Arts.
The main purpose of the meeting was to promote national vocal art, popularize Kazakh
musical heritage, and support the creative development of students.
During the event, Yerbolat Shaldybekov shared insights into the history of Kazakh song
art, the educational significance of folk songs, and their spiritual value. He also spoke
about his artistic career, stage culture, and provided professional advice to young
performers, which sparked great interest among students.
As part of the meeting, Kazakh folk songs were performed, highlighting the depth and
artistic richness of the national musical tradition. Students actively asked questions and
engaged in an open discussion.
The creative meeting “Song is the Treasure of the Nation” strengthened students’
interest in national culture and positively influenced their spiritual and aesthetic
development. Such events enrich the cultural life of the university and contribute to the
