The modern labor market confirms that a military background serves as a significant catalyst for professional growth. According to extensive research by the Harvard Business Review (HBR) and Korn Ferry, specialists with military training are disproportionately represented in senior leadership positions.
In line with this, since 2022, AIU University has maintained a strong multi-year partnership with Astana IT University. Under this cooperation agreement, our students have the opportunity to undergo military training at the Astana IT University Military Department.
The informational session featured keynote speakers from the military department: Lieutenant Colonel Asset Kairzhanov and Lieutenant Colonel Shynar Mukhamedzhanova. Students were briefed on the competitive selection process and application guidelines, gaining a comprehensive understanding of each stage of the recruitment cycle.
The application period begins on February 3 at Astana IT University. Currently, 113 of our students are studying there, including 5 girls in the fields of “Cybersecurity”, “Topographic Work”, “Organization of Psychological Work”, “Staffing” and many others. The University remains committed to expanding military training opportunities for our youth.
