By Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Professor of the Higher School of Law at Astana International University (AIU), Isidor Shamilovich Borchashvili, has been included in the Constitutional Reform Commission established as a consultative and advisory body.
Speaking at the Fifth Session of the National Kurultai, the Head of State noted that the Commission will conduct a comprehensive analysis of the proposals received, consolidate them, and prepare a draft of specific amendments and additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Commission includes deputies of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, chairpersons of maslikhats, heads of mass media organizations, public figures, representatives of state bodies, members of regional public councils, as well as representatives of the expert and academic communities.
The participation of Professor Isidor Shamilovich Borchashvili in the work of the Commission highlights the active role of the University’s academic community in discussing key socio-political initiatives and its contribution to the development of the national legal system.
